Pacsun Announces 2nd Nationwide Concert Tour

pactourPacSun, the clothing store inspired by the California lifestyle, officially announces the launch of the 2nd year of the PacTour. Tour kick-off will begin in November and bands will include Saosin, Innerpartysystem, POS and Eye Alaska as well as local battle of the band contest winners on each date. The Tour will include more than 30 shows across the United States.

“With the 2nd annual PacTour concert series we are able to bring people face-to-face with bands and artists and provide a diverse line-up, as well as an opportunity to give regional bands the chance to perform with some of today’s hottest musicians,” says PacSun music manager, Joshua Hubberman.

PacSun dove into the world of music last year with the inaugural PacTour having been a massive success. This years second helping of the tour features a few new additions such as an exclusive listening party of Saosin’s new record as well as a nationwide battle of the bands.

Saosin’s new record “In Search of Solid Gold” comes out 9/8 and PacSun will be the FIRST place to hear the record in its entirety.  At 5pm on Monday 9/7 every PacSun store within the company will play the record from start to finish.  Saosin will be showing up randomly at one lucky PacSun store for a free acoustic performance and meet/greet during the listening party.  In addition, each store will be raffling off an exclusive signed Saosin lithograph print at the listening party.  Follow @pacsun and @saosin on Twitter for hints on which store the band will be showing up to.

In conjunction with the PacTour, PacSun has launched the PacTour “Battle of the Bands” competition, powered by FameCast, in which bands can enter to perform on their local city date. From the pool of local battle winners, one grand prize winning band will be selected to receive a prize pack worth over $15,000.
