ahimsaFresh off three performance at SXSW Music Festival in Austin Texas, hanging at the Alternative Press Magazineparty with idol Anthony Green of Circa Survive, Ahimsa Sunrise released their music video for “Save It” in support of their upcoming (same titled) album release which is available on iTunes.  The band also will be featured in the May issue of Alternative Press Magazine as “Unsigned Band Of The Month.”

The band has already self-released their debut EP “The Unseen Realm” in 2008 and their album “Viceroy and The Monarch” in late 2005.

Ahimsa Sunrise is a screamo/metalcore band from Du Bois, PA. Often compared to the likes of Underoath, A Skylit Drive, The Devil Wears Prada and Circa Survive, they push all ends of the musical spectrum, yet feature a battle between good and evil, to create a personalized sense of who they are. Within the fight is a fresh sound that’s been molded by melody, chaos, beauty, and everything in between. With the single, “Save It”, you will find catchy lyrics intertwined with the epic drum beat causing you to constantly crave more. Having already sold over 4k CDs to date, this EP is very well anticipated by all.

Formed in 2005, vocalist & guitarist Seth Cooper, bassist Brian Caine, guitarist Jarrod Currin and drummer Patrick Gallagher, have come a long way by performing alongside various national acts such as; Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Circa Survive, Bullets for My Valentine, Bless the Fall, Receiving End of Sirens, Darkest Hour, God Forbid, The Devil Wears Prada, and more. They have also played the Vans Warped Tour in both 2008 & 2005 and Taste of Chaos Tour 2008. In 2007, they appeared on FUSE TV for winning the Bodog Battle of the Bands in Washington, D.C., in which they were one of 17 unsigned bands out of 7,000 in the country to advance on, and was in arms reach from running away with a million dollar record deal.
