Indie-pop songstress Kina Grannis is thrilled to announce a Spring headlining tour of the US.
The incredibly talented 24-year-old from Mission Viejo, California of Japanese, English, Irish, French, Dutch, Welsh and Scottish descent is heading out in support of her debut full-length album Stairwells.
Self-released in February, the album debuted on the Billboard 200, #5 on the Billboard Top Internet Albums chart and #2 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart.
The release was accompanied by an official music video for the first single “Valentine” – which has been viewed nearly 1.5 million times on YouTube!
In 2007, Kina joined the rapidly growing YouTube community, made a music video for her song “Message From Your Heart,” and entered herself into the Doritos Crash The Super Bowl Contest. After winning the contest and having her video air during the Super Bowl and its 97-million viewers, she walked away with a record deal – which she eventually walked away from.
Her songs have been heard on television shows such as ABC’s General Hospital and MTV’s College Life and Kina has performed on behalf of the American Heart Association and the Sister-to-Sister Organization.
Now Kina is heading out on a headlining tour of the US in support of her debut full-length Stairwells. Her Spring and Summer tour dates will also include a July 16th Lillith Fair date in St. Louis, MO where she’ll be joining Emmylou Harris, Metric and Ingrid Michaelson among others.
