Less than one week away, the ever-glamorous Kaci Battaglia gears up for the release of her new album Bring It On which will be available digitally on September 21st, 2010 via independent music label Curb Records. The album’s second single “Body Shots,” featuring super-star rapper Ludacris, has already charted at #6 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play and is exploding both at radio and in clubs across the country.
Bring It On features 10-high energy songs written and produced by Kaci and long-time collaborators Michael Grant, Arianna Wilson, Jarreau and Trevor Pitts, as well as Isaac Hayes III (Redman, Chamillionaire), Robert Allen Christopher Bridges, Heather James, David Anthony, Jeff Fanzel (‘N Sync, Taylor Dayne), Michelle R Lewis, Anthony Fonseca (remixes for Avril Lavigne, Monica), Harold Brown, Eritza Laues (Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson) and Valentin.
The album title came to Kaci quite easily, “I was inspired by personal positivity and power. I am ready for anything that comes my way – and in fact, I can’t wait,” said Battaglia.
The first track on the album is Kaci’s hit single “Crazy Possessive” written by Battaglia, Grant, Wilson and Pitts which soared to #1 Billboard Hot Dance Club Play. “It’s probably best described as electro-pop with an edge – definitely aggressive, which fits the song, but a lot of fun. It is a strong topic with a positive message, and hopefully a lot of girls are able to relate to it.”
Following up “Crazy Possesive” is the second track on the album currently being played at radio. Kaci and Ludacris recently shot a music video for “Body Shots” also penned by Battaglia, Grant, Wilson and Pitts which you can see here.
“Ludacris and I had an incredible time shooting the clip with European director, Stephanie Pistel – working in studios in both New York and Miami,” Battaglia explained. “We took a very symbolic approach to the video and hope that we came up with something classy, fresh and fun.”
“Body Shots” will be featured on the CW show “One Tree Hill” on September 21st.
The intergalactic dance club hit “Bionic Atomic” shows Kaci’s seductive powers, as she takes us dancing; where “Tool” gives us an inside look at the wrong type of man for her.
Kaci Battaglia is not your average “New Artist.” In many respects, she’s not new at all – certainly not if “new” implies lack of experience: By the time she was 13, she had already toured the world and had several top ten singles. And one thing is for sure – Kaci’s forthcoming release ‘Bring It On,’ out September 21st, leaves no doubtthat this 21-year-old singer/songwriter is truly an artist.
