The Sliders’ New Album “City by the Sound” Out Now

The Long Island piano-rock foursome known as The Sliders have released their first full-length album, City By The Sound, produced by Jim Wirt (Incubus, Hoobastank, Jack’s Mannequin).

The independent band’s first full-length album, City By The Sound, is a record comprised of 11 coming-of-age tracks reminiscent of bands like The Script, Parachute, OAR, and Maroon 5.  Their music combines the best of pop-rock with a musical sensibility.  Eric, the group’s vocalist and primary songwriter, cites artists like Stevie Wonder and Sara Barielles as his key influences for writing catchy pop songs with intricate melodic foundations.

Since The Sliders’ inception in the summer of 2007, the boys have garnered a strong following playing their unique brand of pop-rock throughout the Long Island area.  The Sliders competed in The Bamboozle Break Contest in 2010 and won the opportunity to perform at the annual Bamboozle Festival.

The Sliders have appeared on z100’s HD channel as well as Q104.3’s “Out of the Box” with Jonathan Clarke.  With promising upcoming shows and a pending spot in Bamboozle 2011, The Sliders are anxiously looking toward their future.

You can purchase the album at iTunes. For more information, please go to www.theslidersmusic.com.
