Indie Band The Gallery Release New EP, Finish Up Tour

The Gallery’s new EP, Come Alive, was released today, which was produced by Warren Huart (The Fray, Augustana, Hot Hot Heat) at Hollywood’s Swing House Studios. The Gallery are one of the sixteen bands chosen by Rolling Stone magazine to be in their “So You Want to be a Rock & Roll Star” contest, in which they could be on the cover of Rolling Stone, in addition to getting a record deal with Atlantic Records and performing live on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

The independent band’s hook-laden rock songs combine a mix of mainstream appeal and professionalism with indie credibility and likeability. Their brand of guitar-driven, southern-infused pop rock blurs the lines between authenticity and commerciality, producing songs that are refined and disarmingly catchy.

Massachusetts indie-folk rock band, The Gallery, will be releasing their new EP, Come Alive, on February 22 produced by Warren Huart (The Fray, Augustana, Hot Hot Heat) at Hollywood’s Swing House Studios.

The independent band’s hook-laden rock songs combine a mix of mainstream appeal and professionalism with indie credibility and likeability. Their brand of guitar-driven, southern-infused pop rock blurs the lines between authenticity and commerciality, producing songs that are refined and disarmingly catchy.

The foursome, Brendan Cooney (lead vocals/guitar), Ryan Cooney (drums), Dave Mozdzanowski (bass/bg vocals) and Shea Brennan (lead guitar) have maintained their hometown fan base in New England, while building a similar following in Southern Florida, where they resided for three years.

The White House Band has released a new single called “Sky High.” The band recently performed the track to a packed house exposing their talents.

Formed in February 2010, the indie band is a loud, captivating, and energetic Brooklyn-based band. David E Beats and the White House Band created their own genre of music “New Vogue”: a combination of Rap, Hard Rock and Blues.

Cory Lonas (bass), Fernando Martinez (guitar), and Elder Merchant (drums) round-out the White House Band.

Guitar Center’s Sessions Features British Indie Rock Legends The Cult

Guitar Center announced a new episode of Guitar Center Sessions featuring legendary post-punk British rockers The Cult. Set to premiere Saturday, December 4 at 9 p.m. ET, the episode includes intimate and revealing interviews with the band and performances of iconic songs including “Sweet Soul Sister”, “Rain”, “Rise”, “Wildflowers” and the new single “Embers”, among others.

Brooklyn’s The Waylons Release New Studio Recordings

waylons1The song-driven four-piece fresh from the studio, The Waylons, try out their new songs for the masses with a show at Union Pool on Monday, September 30th at 9:30 p.m. ($5 admission). The indie band recently released their latest EP, Out of Love, as well as two country songs on Tweet for Track.  They had so much success with this that they decided to release three more studio tracks as a limited CD at their next show.

The Waylons are a NYC rock band, writing and performing music steeped in the traditions of Americana, Britpop, punkrock and folk. There are three guys and a girl drummer, three members are songwriters, and all four band members sing.  While guitars, bass, and drums lay the foundation to the music, pianos, organ, clarinet, accordian, cello, and tambourines contribute to the group’s lush sounds. The Waylons’ music is praised for the level of craft in the songwriting as well as the arrangement of the music – both live and in recordings. Needle to the Groove weaves together a wide range of influences while maintaining the band’s modern take on classic hard rock.

The album’s first single, “Hell or High Water,” as well as “Hit and Run” and “Another Pretty Face,” nicely summarize the high-energy rock their fans have come to expect. Hints Jim Morrison and Scott Weiland can be heard in David Case’ vocal style in“Breakdown City,” while the tune “Without Your Man” is a slow, bluesy jam reminiscent of Cream and Jeff Beck.
