John Nolan, who is the frontman of Straylight Run, is currently taking his solo project on the road.

Nolan has hit the month long tour with Person L and Brian Bonz.

Tonight was the first show of tour with Person L and Brian Bonz and it was a lot of fun. Camille and I played a song with Brian Bonz and the Dot Hongs, and they played two songs with us. We’ll be working on doing some more collaborating with them and hopefully bringing Person L into the mix soon. Thanks to everyone who came out tonight, and many thanks to Person L (who was amazing this evening!) for taking us on this tour!

Straylight Run has had their EP, Un Mas Dos, available for download at no cost at all to their fans.

The indie band will be kicking off their tour in October.

It is my pleasure to announce this week’s “Artist Of The Week” John Nolan, Nolan is a musician who should not only be our “Artist Of The Week” but also our “Next Big Thing”.  We first heard from John as a prominent member of the band Taking Back Sunday before moving on to front Straylight Run. Straylight has been a huge influence on many of today’s bands and also a critical success.  Just when you thought that is where it would end he has decided to bless music fans with his Debut Solo Album “Height”.

John Nolan, who is the frontman of Straylight Run, has released his first single off of his solo album on his Tumblr Web site.

“Screaming in the Wind” is the has a dark electronic feel accompanied by low toned vocals from Nolan.

Nolan also has hit the road with Mansions as he prepares for the release of his album.

“I’ll be playing songs from my upcoming solo album and a couple of acoustic Straylight songs(probably ones we’ve rarely or never played live),” Nolan said on Straylight Run’s Myspace blog.

Nolan plans to incorporate his fellow touring musicians and audience members into a constantly evolving live show. Camille, Nolan’s wife who accompanies the musician on guitar and piano, joins also Nolan on stage.
