Independent Artist Janid Set to Release New Album

Janid’s will release her newest album Alias via Zonisphere Records next Tuesday, December 14. The album will be available on iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon and other online outlets.

A pioneer in musical innovation and evolution, Electronica singer-songwriter Janid (Jah-NEED) has been unleashed upon the world since 2006 with her dark, sensual sounds; irreverent yet poetic lyrics; and distinctly commanding voice. After three evolutionary albums, spanning Latin, R&B, Pop and Dance genres, Janid has established herself as a powerhouse in entertainment today.

Indie Band Gold Motel Releases a Trifecta of Music for Fans

Gold Motel has released their debut album Summer House physically on Good As Gold Records. The indie band is also releasing a special digital edition of their debut album which includes 4 bonus tracks and released their debut 7″ Talking Fiction, which includes two brand new tracks – “Cold Shoulders” and “Slow Emergency.”

In addition to releasing a collection of new music, Gold Motel is launching a Talking Fiction remix contest on December 6 as a unique treat for fans with Indaba Music. The finalists will be voted on by the public, with the final winner being chosen by the band. The winner will receive gear from Vox, a Talking Fiction prize pack from the band and additional prizes to be announced!  More details on the remix contest to come.

Indie Band The Russian Futurists New Album is Out Now

The Russian Futurists new album The Weight’s on the Wheels is out now and they’ll be playing a handful of dates beginning with tonight at the Mercury Lounge in NYC.

The Toronto based indie artist aka Matthew Adam Hart produced the new album with the aid of Michael Musmanno (Outkast, Lilys, Arrested Development) and sonically takes his sound out of the bedroom and onto the airwaves.  The Weight’s On The Wheels captures the Futurists in full pop regalia from start to finish.

The Russian Futurists released his debut album The Method of Modern Love on Upper Class nearly a decade ago and quickly caught the ear of musicians and critics alike earning Matthew Adam Hart comparisons to Magnetic Fields and Flaming Lips, raves from Pitchfork, SPIN, The Guardian and XLR8R and praise from established acts Blur, REM and Snow Patrol.

Indie Duo Oak & Gorski Play Shows in Support of Their Anticipated Album Release

In support of their highly anticipated album release, Oak & Gorski will be playing 2nd Street Jazz on November 12 at 8:00 p.m.

In an indie music world always craving something with a new edge, Oak & Gorski, bring exactly what is needed to the table. With Cello as a lead instrument they have created their own unique brand of “Cello Rock” that can be heard in full force on their soon to be released fourth studio album, Love Destroyer.

After raising $13,368 in 30 days on Kickstarter, having three albums under their belt and various placement on TV and film, there is no doubt this is a highly anticipated record. Love Destroyer will be released on December 14th via iTunes.

Indie Band Pomegranates Release Full-Length Album

Independent band Pomegranates release their third full-length studio album, One Of Us, on Afternoon Records.  The new album is their first for Afternoon Records and was co-produced by the band and TJ Lipple of Aloha (MGMT, Headlights, Minus Story), who also mixed and mastered the record.

Formed in 2006, the Cincinnati, Ohio indie band quickly distinguished itself with its mesmerizing art-pop compositions, eliciting acclaim from My Old Kentucky Blog (“Sweet, sweet sounds are pop honey to my ears”), massive support from WOXY.com and invitations to tour from the French Kicks, Islands and Jimmy Eat World.

Indie Duo Voltaire Twins Make U.S. Debut at CMJ

Voltaire Twins will be playing the CMJ Showcase 2010 in New York during their first visit to the states.

This year is shaping up to be a colorful year for Australian synth-pop duo Voltaire Twins. The brother-sister combo recently caught the eye of French tastemaker label Kitsuné, who released their single “D.I.L. (JBAG remix)” worldwide on the Kitsuné x Ponystep worldwide release.

With iTunes adding the duo to their Hotly Tipped For 2010 compilation, the pair, who are already regular features in the blogosphere, have exploded in a swarm of internet hype.

Indie Artist K.Flay Releases Self-Titled Debut EP

Indie rock – hip hop artist K.Flay is excited to announce the release of her self-titled debut EP. As the first new recorded music in the last year, K.Flay’s EP is available on iTunes and K.Flay’s website, and will be available for purchase at every one of her shows on her first ever US tour, already on the road with Passion Pit.

Last year, K.Flay self-released her first mix tape titled MASHed potatoes and is currently available for free on her website. The San Francisco based Chicago raised musician has been making waves with her unique brand of indie rock meets hip hop. Indie Artist Cyndi Harvell Releases New Album, “From the Echo”

Cyndi Harvell is to release her new album, From The Echo, on today via Fortune Records. Hailing from a small town in Georgia, singer-songwriter Cyndi Harvell has become a voice to be reckoned with.

With her first album, The Night Turned to Song, the indie artist toured the West Coast, receiving significant airplay on Americana stations across the globe and was a featured artist on Bay Area radio station KFOG’s Local Scene Compilation album.

Harvell has also performed several key gigs such as; San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, the Gilroy Garlic Festival, and shows at the FillmoreSlim’s, and Cafe Du Nord, among many others.
