A pioneer in musical innovation and evolution, Electronica singer-songwriter Janid (Jah-NEED) has been unleashed upon the world since 2006 with her dark, sensual sounds; irreverent yet poetic lyrics; and distinctly commanding voice. After three evolutionary albums, spanning Latin, R&B, Pop and Dance genres, Janid has established herself as a powerhouse in entertainment today.

Indie Artist Cyndi Harvell Set to Release Album

CyndiHarvellCyndi Harvell is to release her new album, From The Echo, on October 12, 2010 via Fortune Records. Hailing from a small town in Georgia, singer-songwriter Cyndi Harvell has become a voice to be reckoned with.

With her first album, The Night Turned to Song, the indie artist toured the West Coast, receiving significant airplay on Americana stations across the globe and was a featured artist on Bay Area radio station KFOG’s Local Scene Compilation album.

Harvell has also performed several key gigs such as; San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, the Gilroy Garlic Festival, and shows at the FillmoreSlim’s, and Cafe Du Nord, among many others.

Indie Pop Artist Kaci Battaglia Returns with “Body Shots” ft. Ludacris

15Returning with the party anthem of the summer, ever-glamorous Kaci Battaglia has done it again, following up her hit single “Crazy Possessive,” with yet another smash: “Body Shots” featuring super-star rapper Ludacris.  Already exploding at radio and charting in clubs across the country, Kaci welcomes the reception with open arms, as she awaits the release of her aptly titled album Bring It On (Curb Records) on September 21st.

Based on a conversation that Kaci had with some of her girlfriends right before her 21st birthday, Body Shots” sassy lyrics were penned by Battaglia, who has co-written all of the songs on her upcoming release.

Indie Artist Tom Grant Serves a Musical Feast with Delicioso

TomGrant_CoverNu-Wrinkle Records is proud to announce the CD release of Delicioso (dee-lish-e-oso) by pianist Tom Grant.  The single, “Cute New Car,” will be added to radio playlists on Aug. 30, 2010.

The all original songs featured on the new album, Delicioso, are a soundscape of radio friendly tracks that infuse memorable hooks with refined arrangements, giving fans the center stage quality they demand from a returning chart-topping recording artist.

The supporting cast of the album is a team of power players.  From guitarist Marlon McClain (Kenny G, Jeff Lorber, Smokey Robinson and more) to guitarist Dan Faehnle (Diana Krall and Pink Martini), the musicianship on Delicioso is a feast for the senses. Indie-Pop Songstress Kina Grannis Announces Headlining Tour

stairwells_largeIndie-pop songstress Kina Grannis is thrilled to announce a Spring headlining tour of the US.

The incredibly talented 24-year-old from Mission Viejo, California of Japanese, English, Irish, French, Dutch, Welsh and Scottish descent is heading out in support of her debut full-length album Stairwells.

Self-released in February, the album debuted on the Billboard 200, #5 on the Billboard Top Internet Albums chart and #2 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart.

The release was accompanied by an official music video for the first single “Valentine” – which has been viewed nearly 1.5 million times on YouTube!

Indie Band Rubik Returns to the US for Spring Tour in Support of US Debut

rubik550Finland’s indie art-pop collective Rubik are returning to the US in June for a full tour in support of their second album and US debut – Dada Bandits.

Released stateside this past fall on Fullsteam/Paper Tiger AV, the album was met with critical praise and found the Finnish collective doing a handful of US dates including a show at CMJ Music Marathon in NYC as well as session for KEXP.

Rubik, now a staple on the European indie-music scene, started playing out live in 2003.  In 2005, the band released their debut EP People Go Missing and in 2007 they released their first studio full-length Bad Conscience Patrol on Fullsteam Records.

The New Collisions Update With 2009 Highlights

newcollisionIn just over nine months, Boston’s The New Collisions have gone from an unknown club band to one of the northeast’s hottest acts. Having now direct supported national tours with The B-52s and Blondie and recently releasing their debut EP, “Invisible Embraces,” they are spinning into a tornado of glitz and glamour.

The New Collisions have been nominated for two 2009 Boston Music Awards including Best Pop Act and Best New Act and are nominated for Best New Act in the 2009 Boston Phoenix Best Music Poll. They will be on Fearless Music (airs on FOX) in January and will also be on Daytrotter in the near future.
