The indie band is fronted by lead singer, songwriter and guitarist, John Seymour, who often writes metaphorically about love and relationships using literary references, musically framed with melodic hooks.
The Narrative will be supporting Eisley on their upcoming Spring national tour. They will also be embarking on Vans Warped Tour from 7/19 to 8/14.
The New York based indie pop rock group is a perfect example of how sometimes things just seem to fall into place. Jesse Gabriel (guitar/vocals) met Suzie Zeldin (keyboard/vocals) for a slice of mediocre New York pizza after she responded to his 3 page long Craigslist ad. They soon learned that not only did they go to high school together, they also shared identical musical interests.
The Long Island rock band Sainthood Reps have recently signed to Tooth & Nail Records. The band will also be performing at this year’s SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas at the Tooth & Nail Showcase on March 19 at Bat Bar.
As 2010 drew to a close, the band partnered with Tooth & Nail Records to begin working on their debut full-length, produced by Long Islander Mike Sapone (Brand New, Crime in Stereo, The Xcerts) and slated for release in 2011.
Sainthood Reps began when Francesco Montesanto created and recorded four-demos and played them for his longtime musical companion, guitarist Derrick Sherman. Knowing that he was unrefined, Montesanto hoped to entice Sherman into joining his musical endeavor because of his experience and similar musical interests, and thought he could turn his project into something worth pursuing more seriously.
Before you break their hearts, they’re going to break your nose. So sing Peter Bjorn and John on “Breaker Breaker”—the kinda punk, kinda bare, totally infectious album preview for Gimme Some, out in March. We have not seen the sugarpop Swedes rock this hard before, and we are into it, big time. This less-is-more video of the trio speedily pounding the pain away doesn’t hurt, either.
Independent Artist, Rob Drabkin, has created a video for his single, “Melissa.” Drabkin is an upbeat and rhythmically driven acoustic guitar playing singer/songwriter backed by a very talented jam/rock band. The indie artist and the band fuse folk and rock to accompany Drabkin’s soothing vocals.
The indie music world is always craving something with a new edge and Oak & Gorski bring exactly what is needed to the table. With Cello as a lead instrument they have created their own unique brand of “Cello Rock” that can be heard in full force on their soon to be released fourth studio album, Love Destroyer.
After raising $13,368 in 30 days on Kickstarter, having three albums under their belt and various placement on TV and film, there is no doubt this is a highly anticipated record. Love Destroyer will be released on December 14 via iTunes.
Formed in February 2010, the indie band is a loud, captivating, and energetic Brooklyn-based band. David E Beats and the White House Band created their own genre of music “New Vogue”: a combination of Rap, Hard Rock and Blues.
Cory Lonas (bass), Fernando Martinez (guitar), and Elder Merchant (drums) round-out the White House Band.
Beats, raps honest, clever lyrics and plays heavy guitar riffs guitar simultaneously while on stage. From a Hip Hop perspective, you can compare Beats’ melodies to a Kid Cudi, from a Rock perspective.
